The last thing Miranda is looking for is love.

Living and working at Crystal Peaks Ski Resort after losing her home and job to a BC wildfire, she spends her days dutifully picking up extra shifts when she's not out skiing (on the safe runs only, of course) with her best friend, Bea. That is, until she meets Burt- a bright eyed Australian chairlift operator who seems perplexingly bent on proving to her the magic of the Christmas season.

As their friendship blooms, Miranda is dead-set on two facts: she does not have time for romantic entanglements while she picks up the pieces of her life; and certainly not with an aimless, nomadic liftie who plans on returning to the other side of the globe.

But the Christmas lights and cool, glittering nights start to threaten her resolve and, at this rate, she may have a choice to make: does she play it safe and trust her head, or take a chance on following her heart?
